Piano Magic Feat. Brendan Perry Lyrics - by Popularity. 1: You Never Loved This City - Remastered: 2: You Never Loved This City (Remastered) Piano Magic Feat. Brendan Perry Albums Dead Can Dance is an Australian musical project formed in 1981 in Melbourne by Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry.The band relocated to London, England, in May 1982. Australian music historian Ian McFarlane described Dead Can Dance's style as "constructed soundscapes of mesmerizing grandeur and solemn beauty; African polyrhythms, Gaelic folk, Gregorian chant, Middle Eastern mantras, and I'm looking for the song @ the end of Siren S:2 E:1, Some of the lyrics are: "If you pull me down, you're going down with me". If anyone recognizes the song please let me know, I cannot find it anywhere. Thanks. "Song to the Siren" was released in 1970, on the album ‘Starsailor’. Though his original author is Tim Buckley, it is well known to have been covered by numerous artists including Robert Plant on his 2002 album ‘Dreamland’, and as a duet with Plant and English tenor Alfie Boe on his 2011 album ‘Alfie’. It has also been covered by Mercury Prize nominee Susheela Raman on her album ‘Salt Rain’, and by John Frusciante on his 2009 album ‘The Empyrean’. The song has also become better known for the version by Elizabeth Fraser and Robin Guthrie (from The Cocteau Twins) under the bandname This Mortal Coil. This later version would become immensely popular, topping the UK charts and being later used in many instances on film ( on David Lynch´s Lost Highway) and advertising (on the ad for Cacharel´s parfume brand "Noa"), as well as being versioned by several other groups. In tune with the "sailor" them of the album, revolving around voyages, the song is heavily based on the mythical figure of Sirens, as seen in Homer´s "The Odyssey". Tekst piosenki: Long afloat on shipless oceans I did all my best to smile 'Til your singing eyes and fingers Drew me loving to your isle And you sang Sail to me, sail to me Let me enfold you Here I am, here I am Waiting to hold you Did I dream you dreamed about me ? Were you hare when I was full sail? Now my foolish boat is leaning Broken lovelorn on your rocks For you sing 'Touch me not, touch me not Come back tomorrow Oh my heart, oh my heart Shies from the sorrow' I am puzzled as the newborn child I am troubled at the tide Should I stand amid your breakers ? Or should I lie with death my bride ? Hear me sing 'Swim to me, swim to me Let me enfold you Here I am, here I am Waiting to hold you' Dodaj interpretację do tego tekstu » Historia edycji tekstu Join others and track this song Scrobble, find and rediscover music with a account Featured On 4 more albums featuring this track Scrobble Stats Recent Listening Trend Day Listeners Tuesday 25 January 2022 0 Wednesday 26 January 2022 0 Thursday 27 January 2022 0 Friday 28 January 2022 0 Saturday 29 January 2022 0 Sunday 30 January 2022 0 Monday 31 January 2022 0 Tuesday 1 February 2022 0 Wednesday 2 February 2022 0 Thursday 3 February 2022 0 Friday 4 February 2022 0 Saturday 5 February 2022 0 Sunday 6 February 2022 0 Monday 7 February 2022 0 Tuesday 8 February 2022 0 Wednesday 9 February 2022 0 Thursday 10 February 2022 0 Friday 11 February 2022 0 Saturday 12 February 2022 0 Sunday 13 February 2022 0 Monday 14 February 2022 0 Tuesday 15 February 2022 0 Wednesday 16 February 2022 0 Thursday 17 February 2022 0 Friday 18 February 2022 0 Saturday 19 February 2022 0 Sunday 20 February 2022 0 Monday 21 February 2022 0 Tuesday 22 February 2022 0 Wednesday 23 February 2022 0 Thursday 24 February 2022 0 Friday 25 February 2022 0 Saturday 26 February 2022 0 Sunday 27 February 2022 0 Monday 28 February 2022 0 Tuesday 1 March 2022 0 Wednesday 2 March 2022 0 Thursday 3 March 2022 0 Friday 4 March 2022 0 Saturday 5 March 2022 0 Sunday 6 March 2022 0 Monday 7 March 2022 0 Tuesday 8 March 2022 0 Wednesday 9 March 2022 1 Thursday 10 March 2022 0 Friday 11 March 2022 0 Saturday 12 March 2022 1 Sunday 13 March 2022 0 Monday 14 March 2022 0 Tuesday 15 March 2022 0 Wednesday 16 March 2022 0 Thursday 17 March 2022 0 Friday 18 March 2022 0 Saturday 19 March 2022 0 Sunday 20 March 2022 0 Monday 21 March 2022 0 Tuesday 22 March 2022 1 Wednesday 23 March 2022 0 Thursday 24 March 2022 0 Friday 25 March 2022 0 Saturday 26 March 2022 0 Sunday 27 March 2022 0 Monday 28 March 2022 0 Tuesday 29 March 2022 0 Wednesday 30 March 2022 0 Thursday 31 March 2022 0 Friday 1 April 2022 0 Saturday 2 April 2022 0 Sunday 3 April 2022 0 Monday 4 April 2022 0 Tuesday 5 April 2022 0 Wednesday 6 April 2022 0 Thursday 7 April 2022 0 Friday 8 April 2022 0 Saturday 9 April 2022 0 Sunday 10 April 2022 0 Monday 11 April 2022 0 Tuesday 12 April 2022 0 Wednesday 13 April 2022 1 Thursday 14 April 2022 0 Friday 15 April 2022 0 Saturday 16 April 2022 0 Sunday 17 April 2022 0 Monday 18 April 2022 0 Tuesday 19 April 2022 0 Wednesday 20 April 2022 0 Thursday 21 April 2022 0 Friday 22 April 2022 0 Saturday 23 April 2022 0 Sunday 24 April 2022 1 Monday 25 April 2022 0 Tuesday 26 April 2022 0 Wednesday 27 April 2022 0 Thursday 28 April 2022 0 Friday 29 April 2022 0 Saturday 30 April 2022 1 Sunday 1 May 2022 0 Monday 2 May 2022 0 Tuesday 3 May 2022 0 Wednesday 4 May 2022 0 Thursday 5 May 2022 0 Friday 6 May 2022 0 Saturday 7 May 2022 0 Sunday 8 May 2022 0 Monday 9 May 2022 0 Tuesday 10 May 2022 0 Wednesday 11 May 2022 0 Thursday 12 May 2022 0 Friday 13 May 2022 0 Saturday 14 May 2022 0 Sunday 15 May 2022 0 Monday 16 May 2022 0 Tuesday 17 May 2022 0 Wednesday 18 May 2022 0 Thursday 19 May 2022 0 Friday 20 May 2022 0 Saturday 21 May 2022 0 Sunday 22 May 2022 0 Monday 23 May 2022 0 Tuesday 24 May 2022 1 Wednesday 25 May 2022 0 Thursday 26 May 2022 1 Friday 27 May 2022 0 Saturday 28 May 2022 0 Sunday 29 May 2022 0 Monday 30 May 2022 0 Tuesday 31 May 2022 0 Wednesday 1 June 2022 0 Thursday 2 June 2022 0 Friday 3 June 2022 0 Saturday 4 June 2022 0 Sunday 5 June 2022 0 Monday 6 June 2022 0 Tuesday 7 June 2022 0 Wednesday 8 June 2022 0 Thursday 9 June 2022 0 Friday 10 June 2022 0 Saturday 11 June 2022 0 Sunday 12 June 2022 0 Monday 13 June 2022 1 Tuesday 14 June 2022 0 Wednesday 15 June 2022 0 Thursday 16 June 2022 0 Friday 17 June 2022 1 Saturday 18 June 2022 0 Sunday 19 June 2022 0 Monday 20 June 2022 0 Tuesday 21 June 2022 1 Wednesday 22 June 2022 0 Thursday 23 June 2022 0 Friday 24 June 2022 0 Saturday 25 June 2022 1 Sunday 26 June 2022 0 Monday 27 June 2022 0 Tuesday 28 June 2022 0 Wednesday 29 June 2022 0 Thursday 30 June 2022 0 Friday 1 July 2022 0 Saturday 2 July 2022 0 Sunday 3 July 2022 0 Monday 4 July 2022 0 Tuesday 5 July 2022 0 Wednesday 6 July 2022 0 Thursday 7 July 2022 0 Friday 8 July 2022 0 Saturday 9 July 2022 0 Sunday 10 July 2022 0 Monday 11 July 2022 0 Tuesday 12 July 2022 0 Wednesday 13 July 2022 0 Thursday 14 July 2022 0 Friday 15 July 2022 0 Saturday 16 July 2022 0 Sunday 17 July 2022 0 Monday 18 July 2022 0 Tuesday 19 July 2022 0 Wednesday 20 July 2022 0 Thursday 21 July 2022 0 Friday 22 July 2022 0 Saturday 23 July 2022 1 Play this track YouTube External Links Apple Music Twitter (@brendanperry) Facebook (brendanperryofficial) Instagram About This Artist Brendan Perry 98,336 listeners Related Tags Brendan Perry (born 30 June 1959 in Whitechapel, London) was half of one of the most successful and enduring acts in 4AD's history: Dead Can Dance.
